Tomorrow is our first home party! I have been prepping for days; Creating displays, preparing packaging, and tagging! It's a lot of work, I have to admit! But I am so excited! I am trying to see that the displays blend into the hostess' home. I envision the whole affair as having women sipping wine, mingling and shopping at our displays that are placed throughout the rooms that entertain. To capture this, I used frames to showcase our JEWELRY ART. Perfect, right? I also included jewelry boxes and jewelry trees. I especially love the vintage display with the birds. I also found really cute wooden trays at AC Moore and painted them purple, decorated them with paper flowers, a butterfly charm and a really cool tag that features a different word for each tray. Such as "wish", "muse", "love", "hold", etc. I thought we could incorporate the words into a party game. The word would be drawn from a basket by the hostess (perhaps attached to a bead) and the winner would receive a discount. Oh, the possibilities! Thank God for our creativity! A special thankyou to Erica for booking first, and Sandy for hostessing our first party!
Miss Rumphius, (also known as the Lupine Lady) is a beautiful picture book that inspired the design of the lupine necklaces. Miss Rumphius in her old age makes the world more beautiful by sowing lupine seeds along the sea coast. These beautiful flowers spread each year.
Lupines are a tall flower with small flowering buds. Wearing one of our lupines, YOU make the world a more beautiful place! My family had to put together a basket for a basket raffle for my eldest son's sled hockey team the Buffalo Sabres Junior Sled Hockey Team. I thought what a great idea "I'll make jewelry and put it in the basket with some wine." At first, I was going to make a grapes dangle pearl bracelet with wine charms, however after working on it for several nights and my unsuccessful searching for wine themed charms, it came to me "make a grapes on the vine wine stopper with the section of the bracelet" which I had already made & make two wine glass charms, one made of green grapes and the other made of purple grapes. All three pieces turned out awesome and were a big hit and topic of discussion at the fundraiser.
